Studio Assistant Policies & Guidelines

These policies exist to protect the integrity of the space, the well-being of our guests, and the people who support the studio. We value clarity, mutual respect, and shared responsibility in maintaining a calm, intentional environment.

Attendance & Scheduling Policy

Studio Assistants support the studio on a shift-based, as-needed basis. When a shift is accepted, we ask that it be honored with care. Advance communication is appreciated if availability changes so the studio can plan accordingly and maintain smooth flow.

Pay, Payroll & Commission Policy

Studio Assistants are compensated at an hourly base rate, with additional opportunities to earn commission and bonuses through supported bookings and sales. Pay is issued weekly, typically on Sunday, with occasional same-day payment when cash flow allows.

Commission is offered on specific bookings and memberships as outlined during onboarding. To help us accurately track and celebrate your referrals, we ask that you include your name in the appointment notes when a client books and share a simple list of your referrals by the end of the day. This helps ensure commissions are applied smoothly and on time.

Call-Outs, Late Arrivals & Availability Changes

We understand that life happens. If you are feeling unwell or unable to attend a scheduled shift, timely communication is appreciated so coverage can be adjusted when possible. This policy exists to support transparency and care for the collective, not to penalize.

Professional Conduct & Workplace Behavior

Studio Assistants are expected to carry themselves with professionalism, warmth, and respect. Calm communication, emotional awareness, and mutual consideration are essential to maintaining the tone and integrity of the space.

Client Interaction & Guest Experience Standards

All guests are to be welcomed with kindness, discretion, and presence. Studio Assistants help maintain a peaceful, supportive experience by honoring boundaries, listening attentively, and supporting clients without pressure or over-engagement.

Cleaning, Reset & End-of-Shift Expectations

Maintaining the cleanliness and flow of the studio is a shared responsibility. Studio Assistants support resetting rooms, refreshing common areas, and preparing the space for upcoming sessions in alignment with studio guidelines.

Health, Safety & Emergency Procedures

Studio Assistants help maintain a safe and comfortable environment by following basic safety practices and studio protocols. Any safety concerns or emergencies should be communicated to the studio owner promptly.

Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

Client visits, conversations, appointments, and personal information are strictly confidential. Studio Assistants may not confirm or discuss a client’s presence in the studio with anyone, including family members or friends. Privacy is essential to the trust we hold with our community.

Social Media & Content Policy

Photography, videography, or content creation involving the studio or clients must follow studio media consent guidelines. Content is only captured or shared with prior approval and respect for guest privacy at all times.

Anti-Harassment & Non-Discrimination Policy

Pure Heart Wellness Studio is committed to maintaining a space that is welcoming, inclusive, and free from harassment or discrimination of any kind. Behavior that creates discomfort, harm, or exclusion based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ability, body size, age, or any other personal identity is not tolerated. All individuals are expected to treat one another with dignity and respect.

Employee Safety, Respect & Support Policy

Studio Assistants should never be spoken to disrespectfully, pressured, or mistreated by guests, vendors, or anyone in the space. If you experience behavior that feels inappropriate or uncomfortable, please report it to the studio owner as soon as possible.

If the studio owner is in a one-on-one session or unavailable, prioritize your safety and the calm of the space and bring the matter forward as soon as the session concludes. Supporting your well-being, dignity, and sense of safety is a priority.

Wellness & Burnout Awareness Policy

We recognize that supporting others requires care for oneself. If a Studio Assistant is experiencing fatigue, overwhelm, or signs of burnout, open communication and renewed focus on personal wellness are encouraged. Our intention is to support sustainable pacing and ensure team members are able to pour from a full cup.

Studio Class Participation Policy

When the studio is fully settled, all guests are checked in, and no walk-ins, deliveries, or support needs are anticipated, Studio Assistants may participate in a scheduled yoga class while on shift. Participation is optional and offered as a way to stay connected and embodied within the studio environment.

If studio needs arise during a class, Studio Assistants are expected to step out and provide support as needed. Studio care always comes first.

Rest & Grounding During Downtime Policy

During extended gaps between sessions, once all responsibilities are completed and the studio is fully prepared, Studio Assistants may rest and ground themselves quietly in the meditation or yoga room. This time may be used for stillness, stretching, or quiet reflection.

Rest and grounding should conclude approximately 20 minutes prior to the next guest arrival or session start to allow time for re-centering and preparation.

Breaks & Rest Periods Policy

Studio Assistants working shifts longer than four (4) hours are provided a 30-minute paid rest break. Break timing may vary depending on studio flow and guest needs. On especially busy days, breaks may be adjusted to support the overall experience of the space, with care taken to avoid exhaustion.

Training, Orientation & Role Growth

New Studio Assistants participate in an orientation and training shift to become familiar with studio flow and expectations. This role is designed to grow over time, with additional responsibilities introduced gradually as comfort and trust develop.

Policy Awareness & Shared Responsibility

Studio Assistants are asked to be familiar with studio policies, including those published on the website at:

https://www.pureheart.life/policies

Questions, concerns, or special circumstances are always welcome to be brought directly to the studio owner for guidance.

Acknowledgment of Policies

By accepting shifts at Pure Heart Wellness Studio, Studio Assistants acknowledge these policies and agree to support the values, boundaries, and care practices that define the space.
