Meet Nina

I’m Nina Powell. I guide people back into their bodies, their breath, and their capacity to rest. The work centers on nervous system regulation, mindfulness, and embodied presence. Through sound, movement, stillness, and intentional space, I create experiences that allow people to slow down, recalibrate, and reconnect with themselves.

I am the Founder and Principal of Pure Heart Wellness Studio. While the studio is home to yoga, meditation, sound experiences, and Beadbody adornment, the work extends beyond any single modality. The throughline is simple: creating environments where people feel safe enough to truly exhale.

Those who find their way to this work are often navigating stress, transition, or emotional fatigue. They come seeking relief, clarity, or grounding. They leave feeling more settled, present, and at home in their bodies. The work is subtle, but the impact is lasting.

People experience this work through classes, sound experiences, private sessions, and intentional adornment at Pure Heart.

Before founding Pure Heart, I spent nearly two decades in public service, including rising to the rank of Captain in the fire department and serving in the Army National Guard. That background continues to shape how I hold space today: calm, grounded, and attentive in moments that require trust and care.

My work has been featured on WISH-TV Channel 8, WTHR Channel 13, and RTV6 Channel 6, and continues to serve the Indianapolis community through intentional wellness experiences rooted in presence and integrity.

If you’re here, you’re likely seeking something quieter, steadier, and more grounded.

You’re in the right place.

Ways to Work With Me

Most people experience my work through Pure Heart Wellness Studio.

I offer group classes, sound experiences, and restorative sessions designed to support nervous system regulation and embodied presence. I also facilitate intentional adornment through Beadbody, where personal expression and grounding meet.

Outside of the studio, I offer private and retreat-style experiences for individuals, organizations, and communities. My work travels seamlessly into corporate environments, private gatherings, wellness events, and destination retreats, both domestically and internationally.

These experiences draw from the intentional modalities practiced at Pure Heart, including trauma-informed yoga, somatic movement, meditation, sound, and intentional adornment through Beadbody. Each offering is thoughtfully curated to meet the people and the moment with clarity, professionalism, and care. Private bookings, retreats, and collaborations are available by inquiry.
